Lee Siegel is God

About

Sprezzatura used to edit Lee Siegel’s work, and it was then that he learned that Siegel was the most perfect writer in the English language–and likely other languages as well, though alas, it is unknown whether Siegel has ever written anything in Spanish.

Some people think that sprezzatura is Lee Siegel.  He is not Lee Siegel, you imbecile.  When you and your n + 1 buddies find out who sprezzatura is, you’ll crap yourself.

By the way, Uma–call me!

  1. Posing as the great Lee Siegel’s editor posing as Lee Siegel being Lee Siegel or…never mind.

Schadenfreude wasn’t good enough for you and you had to gin up this salt in the wound, punch him in the new tattoo, grind his face in the dirt site. All I can say to you is, “go for it!”

  2. One of the best expressions of the meaning of “sprezzatura” was a “Grook” (short poem with drawing) by Piet Hein:

    There is one art,
    no more, nor less:
    to do all things
    with artlessness.

Unfortunately, Lee Siegel tried to be too artful by half.

  3. (Typo above. That should read: “no more, no less”.)

  4. Sprezzatura, please tell Lee Siegel to ingratiate hiself with people who can hire him to write reviews that I would pay to read. I want to resume financing his colicky kid’s collage fund.
